FAQ

Q: Will my lesson be given during the public session?

A: All lessons are given during the regularly scheduled public skating sessions.

Q: What will I learn in a Lesson?

A: Please see “What will I learn” section under Skating Lessons in the drop down menu.

Q: What do I wear?

A: Please see “What to wear” section under Skating Lessons in the drop down menu

Q: I scheduled a skating lesson, and now rain or snow is predicted. Is my lesson canceled?

A: The Rink will contact you if there is any change in your lesson appointment.

Q. It’s raining/snowing heavily, What do I do?

A: Check your messages. If weather causes The Rink to close and cancel your lesson, you will be contacted. Please do not assume your lesson is canceled due to inclement weather. If you do not show up, you will still be charged for your lesson.

Q: My young child is very shy and may not want to go with an instructor without me. Also, I’d like to watch/oversee and take photos. Can I be on the ice with them while he/she is in class?

A: If you wish to accompany your child during their lesson, you should book a lesson for two people. Private lessons for one are only for the person who is signed up. Please try not to distract your child during their skating lesson, so they have every opportunity to absorb their instruction.

Q: My toddler child is really smart and athletic and wants to learn ice skating; can I sign him/her up for skating lessons?

A: Lessons are offered for ages 4 and up.

Q: Is The Rink open year round?

A: The Rink is open Oct. - mid March.

Q: Is The Rink inside or outside?

A: The Rink is outside.
